I recently had the privilege of working with the training department in a large insurance company headquartered on the east coast. Their challenge is to continue to scale their efforts. More projects. Larger engagements. Closer partnerships with internal clients. Greater quality. All with lean resources. They are not unique. “Learn from your mistakes.”  How frequently do we hear that – or something similar? Failure is touted as one of the most powerful teachers we’ll ever meet. It’s been elevated in some cases to a magical status that can produce outcomes of legendary proportions. (Think 3M and the less- sticky glue that ultimately birthed adhesive notes.) Winter Vacation

Recently I had the honor of speaking at a remarkable event. My friend, Peg Ruppert, is a Partner with the Advantage Performance Group. She works with organizations to create Talent Optimization – aligning the people, processes and capabilities required to execute a business strategy. I’ve been fortunate to partner with Peg to support many of her clients with custom training. Peg holds an annual holiday give-back event to which she invites her clients.
